You all know Jacquemus, right?

So today on the breakfast menu we've got Jacquemus. Who better to talk about than a designer with the same love for pastels as we do?

So it’s safe to say that if you have ever heard of Jacquemus fashion house, then you know about the phenomenal SS20 show in Provence, South of France. The show was held in the middle of a lavender field with a fuchsia runway and it was Jacquemus fashion houses’ 10th anniversary show.

Le Coup De Soleil - The Sunstroke is what he called the show and collection which was a huge succes and brought Jacquemus a lot of fame and following. The collection was bright and colourful and the setting was like a painting. The models, both men and women, were dressed in pastels and sun hats and they became one big unison with the lavender fields. There is no doubt wether that Simon Porte has a great sense of aesthetic, am I right?

Jacquemus had teamed up and collaborated with Swarovski for the anniversary show and Swarovski was seen on the women’s heels and some crystal embellished pieces. The men were dressed in relaxed tailored jackets and shirts with flowery prints and settle colours styled together with sun hats and sandals. The women were styled in light and flowing dresses and skirts matched with tailored jackets and shirts precisely like the mens.

The FW20 show that Jacquemus called “L’anneé 97” was held in Paris La Défense Arena just three days ago and it was an event that no one wanted to miss after the huge success Jacquemus received for the anniversary show. This time the setting was very minimalistic, putting the clothes in a deeper focus. The colour scale was mostly neutrals, ecru and beige, but he had made accent pieces in the same fuchsia as his runway and lavender like the fields were for his spring show. Which we personally really loved.

The female models were dressed in sexy silhouettes with quite a lot of skin showing and they were styled with either socks in high sandals or thigh high boots. The men on the other hand wore relaxed fit suits and pants with zippers wide open, showing their cotton boxers. Overall the collection was more toned down and polished than before. Jacquemus had also managed to score an impressive model lineup with the Hadid sisters Gigi and Bella, Doutzen Kroes and Jill Kortleve.
