See you in Paris

Hello fellow Parisians at heart,

We have an exciting announcement to make, we are moving to Paris! Everything is at a standstill around the world right now but it gives us the possibility to use our quarantine time to pack our lives down in Copenhagen and prepare so that we can move to Paris as soon as the coast is clear.

No, it isn’t just a dream even though it sometimes or most of the time feels like it. We are sure you all know how much we love Paris and last summer we both started dreaming about living there as real Parisiennes and sometimes you have to take those dreams and make them into reality because we only live once and when you have been feeling slightly unsatisfied with your life in many areas for a longer time, it is time to try something new or take a different path in life. Therefore, we have both decided to leave ballet behind us from next season and move on to something else. It is not something we have decided on together but actually we have both come to this decision in our own pace but obviously it’s easier to do so by reflecting on each other and making big decisions side by side. We have experienced so many major things during our ballet careers and it will be a huge adjustment to settle into “normal” life but we are so excited. We both have big dreams and aspirations but neither of us are quite sure of where our winds are going to blow us in life. It will for sure be somewhere within the creative industry so that we can put our creativity and everything we have experienced and learned from our past into good use.

We are both going to start studying but in different schools since we are interested in slightly different degrees. Anna is more interested in Public Relations and Communications as Benedicte wants a degree in Marketing sustainability and design. Hopefully we will be able to join forces one day and work together. Both of us will be studying within fashion and that’s something we both are passionate about.

It was definitely one of the hardest decisions we have ever had to make. To figure out wether we are ready to leave the Royal Danish Ballet and take a huge leap to another direction or wait for a few more years to have the idea mature in us but since we are both brave and passionate we have decided just to do it and not regret our choices. We are both dying of anticipation and we want you guys to come with us on our journey.

We will make separate posts about our own thoughts on this decision and what we are going to do in Paris and more but for now we hope you are all safe and staying positive!

Bisous,

Anna & Benedicte
