Meet Benedicte

Bonjour, I’m Benedicte (Bene) and one of the Pastel Girls. I am Copenhagen based since forever and currently dancing my heart out at The Royal Danish Ballets stage and vintage hunting in my free time with my best friend Elliot (my puppy) and Anna. I started ballet when I was around 7 years old and 15 years later I am still swirling around on stage wearing more glitter than ever. The fusion between all the hard work we do that in the end gives you the freedom to just go for it on stage is pretty wonderful. The springles on the ice cream is all the detailed handmade costumes we get to dance in and I am sure this is how my love for fashion started.

I have always been amazed by the art and history of fashion! I love to explore with patterns and colours in my everyday outfits and I have a huge weakness for everything pastel and sparkling.

My environment has given me the confidence to express myself through fashion in many ways without worrying about what other people might think. At the theatre, we have to let ourselves fail to be able to succeed and it has given me the courage to explore my creative sides in a different way.
