Mariam Aluede

Meet Mariam. She's another beautiful soul that we admire. She's from London and she is a founder of VIXXEN, a community that tributes black music, showcased mixes, empowerment and black culture education. Read her answers on our 10 questions and get to know her!

1. Describe yourself with 3 words!

- Positive, open-minded and passionate

2. What would we be surprised to learn about you?

- My heritage is Nubian which is a tribe of people based in Egypt and Sudan and they are known for having a history of royalty

3. New or vintage (if you can’t choose both)?

- Vintage

4. What is the most important material possession you own and why?

- My black crystal ring and it's important to me as it reminds me of the time i visited Khartoum, Sudan where I got it.

5. What’s the best buy you’ve made this year?

- My Prada shoulder bag

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

- If I could travel anywhere I would visit Angkor Was in Cambodia because I've read that the architectural ruins are magnificent and it's environment is peaceful. I also admire the teachings of Buddhism which is present in Cambodia.

7. What’s your guilty pleasure?

- My guilty pleasure is watching skin care routines on YouTube.

8. How would your ideal day off look like?

- My day off would consist on me focusing the most on myself in terms of exercising, meditating and self-educating. I'd spend more time on activities I don't spend on days I'm not free. I've got to feel like I've progressed in something at the end of my day off.

9. Would you kiss the last person you kissed again?

- I would if they're a changed person

10. What’s your absolute dream job?

- My dream job is to help as many people and solve as many issues as possible using the skills and knowledge I've learnt and am learning.
