No this isn’t because we suddenly started reading like crazy because of corona but since we are packing down our homes in Copenhagen and trying to figure out what to bring with us to Paris we have to be a pit picky with our books since they are heavy and take up a lot of space. That means that all books that can´t be mistaken for decoration will be put away in the basement. We have quite a lot of cool coffee table books but since we won’t have space for a coffee table they will probably just end up on the floor which isn’t very practical unless they are extra pretty and can be used for inspiration in the future. We made a small collection of books we think deserves at spot in our apartment but also what we think about the content inside. Most books are bought in Shakespeare and Company in Paris. It is the cutest bookstore located by Notre Dame. Or bought online.

I’m sure it doesn’t come as a surprise to you that “In Paris” by Jeanne Damas and Lauren Bastide is coming along. I mean this book is the cutest. The cover is like a Instagram feed with so much personality. The book is about 20 women on life in Paris and also a bunch of cool Parisian inspiration like recipes, fashion tips and just in overall how to Do it like a Parisienne. The 20 women picked in the book are all so inspiring and very cool and of course Jeanne Damas is one of our favourite Parisiennes.

Next up is “the sun and her flowers” by Rupi Kaur. Poetry that makes you feel good like a fresh bucket of wild flowers. The cover is super cute and with her own illustrations all over the pages.
Since we are both going to fashion school bringing “The Little Dictionary of Fashion” by Christian Dior is a must. Even though we live in a modern century and the book can be a bit narrow minded it’s always nice to be able to go back to the classics and find inspiration. The way he describes clothing pieces and colours are quite beautiful.

Last one for this book club is a cookbook we swear on! “EAT CLEAN PLAY DIRTY” by Sakara is the prettiest and best superfood cookbook. It is filled with colourful nutrient recipes but also health quotes covering body and life. Even though we are moving to Paris because of the cheap croissants and baguettes we also know it´s important to eat healthy so we are bringing the cookbook.

Au revoir for now!
